Being a regular gym member, eating well & excited by new challenges it seemed logical that I would sign up to this 12 week transformation with James. I was struggling in my work outs I wasn’t progressing body shape, my workouts were becoming boring & I felt my fitness had dropped.

After the initial consultation with James it was clear from the pictures he had taken that I had bad posture, little tone, my body fat was too high & my fitness levels were average.

By the end of the 12 weeks the results were well worth the effort, dedication & time invested. My posture, shape & body fat had all seen big changes & my fitness levels had peaked to Elite along with my confidence.

So is it easy? No! It will required hard effort plenty of discipline & encouragement which James offers during the PT sessions & in the gym. The Eating plan at first will seem impossible but it just requires a bit of thought & getting used too. Being an ex-chef I thought I was food savvy but this plan taught me a lot about food & how to eat a well-balanced meal. Interesting enough this food plan gave me more energy throughout the whole day, I felt more awake in the morning & even in the afternoon & that’s never happened. I was never hungry & so never needed to snack.

The other advantage was my gym knowledge, I had learnt so much from James about the body & different exercises that I’m know able to workout & change my workouts whenever & of course the 12 week eating plan is now part of my daily routine except the weekends :))

Susie’s amazing “12 week transformation journey”

After completing 9 months of tough treatment for breast cancer, I was left carrying extra kilos taking my weight to just over 68 kilos mostly because of  the medication I was prescribed. In addition I had severe impairment to my right shoulder and arm.  I had been told at the outset that the weight gain was very normal and one of the many side effects and also that it was unlikely I would fully regain strength in my arm.  Although I had managed to shift 4 kilos, I just couldn’t seem to get my old shape back.  I had been very determined to keep a positive attitude and had made huge progress with my rehabilitation thanks to all the physio help from James at Allsports.  When I was completely recovered I knew it was the right time to get the help I needed with the weight I had gained.

So I asked about the 12-week transformation programme and within a week I was signed up!  I was given detailed information about nutrition together with a shopping list, which was actually quite easy to follow.  There were some simple instructions on do’s and don’t’s and a guide on my daily eating plan including how often, what and when to eat and drink.  I found it quite incredible that I should eat 4-5 times a day and actually reduce my weight.  In addition to this, I received weekly e-mails from James with my training programme and we worked through each week together so that I always understood how to work through all the exercises on the list.  The biggest surprise was how quickly my body adapted to this new way of eating and I was absolutely never hungry or without energy so completing the weekly exercise programme was very manageable.  I had monthly weigh-ins and statistics so it never felt too daunting and the results were incredible.

As the weeks went by, I gradually noticed my body changing shape and so did my family and friends!  It wasn’t just weight loss – I was developing greatly improved muscle tone and strength too.  I think the biggest turning point came at 8 weeks when I noticed all my clothes were now far too big and I had to buy smaller sizes.

I was given huge support and encouragement from James and also from absolutely everyone else in the gym.  After my cancer diagnosis, the thing that upset me the most was the feeling that I would never look or feel the same ever again. The word “forever” seemed terrifying.  Yet I was so grateful to have been told that I was in remission with a good prognosis so I felt it was a price worth paying and that I should accept the way I now looked with good grace.  And then along came Allsports with this amazing programme and the results after 12 weeks were beyond my wildest hopes and dreams.

To James at Allsports: I am forever glad I trusted you with a challenge higher than any mountain.  It’s almost impossible to put into words the gratitude I feel – you have quite simply not just given me a body to be proud of but you have literally given me my life back!

Angela Carter’s Journey…“Reclaim my body programme”

I undertook the 12 week transformation programme primarily because I wanted to change my body shape and increase my fitness level and both were achieved!

With the support of Allsports Therapy’s personal trainers and sports therapists I worked my way through the exercise programme and kept to the prescribed eating plan. Initially I found eating up to five meals a day a daunting prospect, but found I soon got in to the routine of preparing the meals in advance and I was never hungry as I was constantly eating.

I discovered that a combination of eating the right things, and keeping to the exercise plan was key to achieving my goal. Apart from the noticeable change in my body shape, I was amazed at the change in the condition of my skin, the reduction of puffiness around the eyes and even the small scar on my leg seemed to be less noticeable! Although the programme is a serious challenge, and at times hard work, it was enjoyable – especially when people started to notice the change in my body and compliment me.

The day I could buy a size 8 dress was so exciting and I have vowed never to go back to size 14 (actually I was nearer 16 really!) It is fantastic to be able to go into a shop and buy whatever I want to wear, and so annoying when they only have it in a bigger size! I have kept my new body for over a year and my body fat has continued to drop. Although I treat myself to indulgences now and again I have found keeping to the eating plan in between has not been hard and has maintained my new body.

I have been calling the programme the ‘reclaim my body’ programme because I made a conscious decision that I would be in control of my body and get it back to where it should be, and not allow the pressures that were all around to dictate how I had become.

“I would like to say a massive thank to James and the Allsports therapy team. Without their support I wouldn’t have been able to change my life and physique around. James has been a constant motivation and support for me to keep pushing my limits and reaching my targets.

He has helped me with nutrition, training, different techniques to stop plateau’s and keep progressing.

Chelsie’s “Reclaim my body” 12-week transformation

When I talked about the 12 week transformation I knew that a lot of people doubted me and thought it wouldn’t last so I think that’s one reason I managed to finish it.

To start off with it was a BIG change mostly with my food as I had to eat a lot of things I didn’t like such as bananas, egg whites and porridge, however I found a way to enjoy them!

At the beginning the workouts in the gym weren’t too hard as it was similar to what I was doing beforehand – supersets, high weight, low reps etc. Gradually it got harder, the reps went up and the dreaded pyramid sets came in (which was personally my least favourite!) However before this program I would’ve given up and lost motivation to go back to the gym but this time round I smashed through them! I never used to food prep before, I had a little help for my mum which made it a lot easier but now it has helped me post-program to keep prepping my breakfast and lunches throughout the week!

Week 6 I looked at the progress pictures from week 1-6 and I couldn’t believe it was me, I felt on top of the world and I think that helped me push through to week 12. Week 8 I had a massive hurdle in the way which was ‘Reading Festival’ I prepped all my food for the 3 days and it turned out to be one of the hottest bank holidays weekends of the year! I had 7 cool packs in a cool bag and the sun still seemed to ruined all the food by day 1! I had to think of an alternative quick before i broke through and when back to eating greasy burgers and chips… I luckily found a stand that sold plain chicken wraps and that was my godsend! Apart from week 8 I had no fall backs and nothing got in the way of me loosing 2 stone!!

I still can’t get over how amazing I feel now and the feeling when I stepped on the scales for the last time and saw that I had lost 2 stone in 12 weeks? I’m so proud for proving to myself and others that I could do it! I kept feeling stronger every week, I just need to keep up with it and hopefully lose more weight post-program!! James was there to support 24/7 and that helped me keep my motivation high and not give up and I can’t thank him enough for that!

Annabel’s “Live Healthier, Live Happier” 12-Week Transformation

I started the 12 week transformation course with trepidation. I am an over weight woman who’s always had problems with diet and exercise. The thought of going into a gym with my body was truly terrifying. Having been reassured by James I took that leap of faith.

The diet seemed daunting and restrictive,I wondered how I was going to fit it into my lifestyle. The first time I received week one it was like another language,PANIC!
I spoke to James  who gave me all the time I needed to explain what the terms meant and how to do the exercises.

Week one started, it was amazing, the diet worked like magic. I was never hungry and the exercises worked well along side the diet. The combination of diet and exercise was invigorating. I felt so positive but it was James’s care and attention to my personal needs that made the difference. I lost weight and inches which gave me a huge boost.

I achieved my 12 week program and am about to revisit it for 12 weeks which should get me to my goal. James has been quite simply the best and without his support and constant encouragement I’m not sure I would have achieved what I’ve done, I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

My feelings at the moment are right up there and my confidence is just blossoming and I feel like a new person. I can never thank you enough James you’re a one off star.
